EMERGENCY STAIRS

Calculations and checks of steel structures of emergency stairs and its connections.

the stair stringers are in hollow steel plate 20mm thick.

  • Photovoltaic access's stair:

    The stair is composed by three ramps connected to the reinforced concrete structures with chemical and mechanical bolts. The stairs steps have been considered as collaborating with stringers to guarantee the horizontal stability of the ramp.

  • West side access's stair:

    The stair is composed by three ramps connected to the reinforced concrete structures with mechanical bolts. The stair is hanged by 4 steel rod of 20mm diameter. The stability against horizontal forces is guaranted by horizontal bracings on landings connected to the reinforced concrete support structures. The stairs steps have been considered as collaborating with stringers to guarantee the horizontal stability of the ramp.

  • North side access's stair:

    In this area have been built two semi-indipendent stairs: one to access to the elevation +8.80 and the other one to access to the elevation +12.80. The two stairs are connected by a vertical steel structure necessary to protect the access to the internal area of mall. The shorter stair is composed by two ramps while the longer stair is composed by three ramps. The longer stair is supported in correspondence of each landing by two cantilever beams type HEB240. The support beams are connected to the reinforced concrete structures by bolt connections. The stairs steps have been considered as collaborating with stringers to guarantee the horizontal stability of the ramp.

  • North square access's stair:

    The stair is composed by two ramps connected to the reinforced concrete structures by two cantilever type HEB240 in correspondence of the stairs landing. The stairs steps have been considered as collaborating with stringers to guarantee the horizontal stability of the ramp.
